For a Special Treat Visit Gregory’s Soda Shop (1975)

A unique country store atmosphere can still be enjoyed by customers visiting Gregory’s Soda Shop located at 15-17 Main Street in Colchester.

The local retail store, which during its 39 year history has established itself as a landmark in Colchester, is owned by Edwin Gregory who at one time had been a state representative and was the town’s last judge prior to the establishment of the circuit court system.

Gregory and his wife Ruth still work long hours at their soda shop greeting area residents who stop in for any of the variety of their products.

Whether it’s the latest paperback, swim fins and water pools for the youngsters, or a new pipe or blend of tobacco, you’ll find it at Gregory’s. In fact, the store boasts one of the largest selection of paperbacks, comics, and magazines to be found in this area as well as a big selection of pipes, cigarettes and other tobacco products. Sandwiches, refreshing soft drinks and a large variety of other miscellaneous products are also displayed through the store.

Gregory’s is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday  and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
